About Maryland Muckraker
Maryland Muckraker is by me, Ethan Reese. I write conservative local news stories and commentary articles for Maryland and Carroll County, where I live with my wife and two, soon to be three, young children.
I started Maryland Muckraker because conservative points-of-view are marginalized by institutions and the establishment media in Maryland, a realization that occurred to me after observing how local newspapers misleadingly covered what turned out to be an outrageous racism hoax that was utterly mismanaged by Salisbury University, my alma mater.
Now I write about Carroll County’s Board of Education and Board of County Commissioners, the development and commercialization of rural Carroll County, Moms for Liberty’s activism in Maryland, the Maryland General Assembly, progressivism in Maryland, and whatever else piques my interest.
Professionally, I work for a venture capital company headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, that acquires and grows distressed media properties. My job is to make sure our websites get as much distribution as possible across Google’s visibility surfaces, including Search, Discover, News, and Youtube.
Before that, I had been a Product Owner for a $12 billion dollar Baltimore staffing enterprise, a Marketing Manager for a now publicly traded Columbia cybersecurity company, and an Account Director for a regionally recognized digital advertising agency.
Maryland Muckraker is owned by Spectator Media LLC, of which I am the sole proprietor, though the website is not a money making enterprise at this time.
